Middletown’s Bayshore – North Middletown, Port Monmouth, Belford and Leonardo
were hard hit by Superstorm Sandy. The flooding caused by Superstorm Sandy was far
greater than anything Middletown has ever seen in its history. More than 1,200 homes
are affected. Hundreds of homes will need to be rebuilt.
MDRF and the New Monmouth Baptist Church have a new joint grant program aimed to help residents of Middletown who were severely affected by Superstorm Sandy. The program will provide funding and/or volunteer labor to help residents with the rebuilding process. Volunteer labor may include demolition, cleanup (inside or out) and repair work that does not require construction permits. Electrical and plumbing labor is excluded.
